A first video post – is this the future?

The Jump
Well, I decided to jump in at the deep end after reading a tweet sent from @loic (see below the video for a full write up)
I’m not going to make excuses about the poor sound quality, or the colour balance on the video, just I wanted to give it a try and I wanted it to be exactly what I was thinking about it at the time. So it isn’t edited (I know, you can tell!)
Anyway – I’ll let you watch, it would be great to have some feedback- though comments like – don’t give up your day job won’t necessarily be constructive :p
[Part transcript: I was going to do a review of an iPhone application because I'm obsessed with those at the moment. But actually I thought I would ask, does anyone think that video blogging or that kind of video conversation - do you think that video posts are the way forward? Creating a blog post could be quicker to do it through a video, you can easily spend an entire day writing up a post for your blog, so would video be the way forward.... more talk ]
The Background
Seesmic was founded in September 2007 by serial entrepreneur, Loic Le Meur.
Formerly Executive VP Europe of SixApart and founder of several web companies in Europe as was all the largest European web conference, LeWeb3 (with over 2000 participants from 40 countries in 2007), Loic is well-versed in what it takes to build a successful company that combines online communication and social networking. Loic also served as the Internet advisory to French President Nicolas Sarkozy and serves as an adviser to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. More seesmic information.
The Tweet
@loic posted this tweet below
Which got me thinking if it was something I should try, then I would be able to make my own opinion on the topic.
I also Tweeted about what Loic has said because it has generated a lot of discussion.

That was the Tweet where I thought I really should just do this.
So I have made my first blog post by video, and hopefully there will be some response, and not all negative!
I may decide to make a weekly blog video. I do think its a nice change for readers thou, to be reading a lot of text but then to also have a video every few posts to keep it interesting.
Anyway – alot of fuss about nothing? Do you already use Seesmic or a similar service, will you start to use it? Do you think this is the way forward, and if not – why? (oh – and did I look to nurvous?)
